Navigation bars are components that you create to enable users to quickly locate the Web content that they need. A typical navigation bar might contain a list of commonly accessed URLs, a basic content area search function, and a list of all of the available categories of information in a particular content area. Not every item on the navigation bar, however, needs to be an interface element. You can also include links to anything (external Web sites), static images (such as a logo), and static text. Once you have created a navigation bar, you can associate it with folders and pages, which means that users will use your navigation bar whenever they display those folders and pages. In the Content Area Navigator, you can create and delete navigation bars. With the Navigation Bar Manager, you can set the navigation bar properties, including whether other users can use the navigation bar. You can also add, delete, and rearrange elements from the Navigation Bar Manager. |
