Removing the content area navigation bar

If you prefer not to have a navigation bar for your content area you can remove it by getting rid of the navigation bar portlet on the content area page.

You must be a content area administrator, Portal administrator, the owner of the content area's root folder, or have Manage Style privileges on the content area to remove the navigation bar from the content area.

To remove a navigation bar from a content area:

  1. Click to access the Navigator and then click Content Areas to go to the Content Area Navigator.

Note: You can also get to the Content Area Navigator from the content area Administration page.

  2. Click Edit Properties next to the content area from which you want to remove the navigation bar. If the list of content areas is very long, use Find to go directly to the desired content area.

  3. Click Page.

  4. Click Edit to modify the current content area page.

  5. Click next to the navigation bar portlet to remove it from the page.

  1. Click Close.
