Deleting navigation bars

You delete a navigation bar when it is no longer necessary. If a folder is still using a navigation bar when it is deleted, the folder is re-assigned the navigation bar of its parent folder. If a page is still using a navigation bar as a portlet and it is deleted, the navigation bar no longer appears on the page.

You must be the navigation bar owner to delete it. Navigation bar deletions are permanent. You cannot undo them.

To delete a navigation bar:

  1. Click to access the Navigator and then click Content Areas to go to the Content Area Navigator.

Note: You can also get to the Content Area Navigator from the content area Administration page.

  2. Click Contents next to the name of the content area from which you want to delete the navigation bar. If the list of content areas is very long, use Find to go directly to the desired content area.
