How do I make my objects available for other users?

Within a content area, you can make the following objects available for other users:

  • Styles

  • Navigation bars

  • Page styles

  • Page layouts

However, to make objects available to other users of the content area you need to have one of the following privileges, or be a member of a group with one of the following privileges:

  • Portal administrator.

  • Content area administrator of the content area that contains the object you want to make available.

  • Make Public on the content area that contains the object you want to make available (for styles and navigation bars).

  • Make Public global privileges on All Content Areas (for styles and navigation bars).

  • Publish global privileges on All Styles (for page styles).

  • Publish global privileges on All Layouts (for page layouts).

If you have the appropriate privileges, you will see the Make Public check box when you create or edit any of the above mentioned objects. Select this check box to make the object available for other users of the content area.

If you do not see the Make Public checkbox, ask your portal administrator to grant you one of the above privileges.
