Content Area Map

Use the Content Area Map to see a hierarchical listing of all folders in all content areas. The Content Area Map is tailored for each authorized user; only the folders you are authorized to view and/or edit are displayed. You cannot move folders in the Content Area Map around at will. Authorized users can move folders from the folder area only.

The Personal Folder is the first folder to display below the Content Area Map node. A sub-folder of each letter in the alphabet is displayed below Personal Folder. If you are authorized, you can click a letter to display the personal folders of those users whose user name begins with this letter.

The home page for each content area, also known as the root folder, is at the top of the tree; all additional folders are arranged beneath it. Beside any folder, you can click the View link which immediately displays the folder in its content area.

Folder icons that are displayed in the Content Area Map include:

Notes

  • The content area administrator is authorized to perform all actions on folders in all content areas.

  • If you do not see the folder that you want to work with, this means that you have not been granted the appropriate folder access privileges. See your content area administrator or folder owner to request folder access.

  • If a folder's parent folder is not displayed to public users, the folder is moved all the way up to the top of the tree, even though it was not created at that level. If the Content Area Map seems misleading or confusing, see your content area administrator or the appropriate folder owner for clarification.
