Changing a style element's color

You can choose or specify any color for the style elements in your folder area, including banners, links, and labels.

You must be logged on as the style administrator or creator of the style to perform this task.

Be careful when changing the style applied to the folder since any changes affect the appearance of all other folders and navigation bars using that style.

To change a style element's color:

Note: If you are already in the folder in which you want to work with, click Folder Style on the folder dashboard and continue from step 4.

  1. In the Navigator, click the Content Areas tab.

  2. Navigate to Path: Content Areas > Name of Content Area > Styles.

  3. In the Actions column, click Edit next to the style you want to work with to display the Style Manager.

  4. Click the Properties tab.

  5. In the Style Element list, choose an element that you want to change. For example, Main Banner, Main Banner Color, Item Attribute, and so on.

You can specify a color either by entering the color's hexadecimal value or if you are not sure of the hexadecimal value of the color, position the mouse pointer on a color square on the color palette and click. The hex value for that color appears in the Color field.

  1. Click Apply.

  2. Repeat this process for each style element for which you want to change the color.

  3. Click OK.

Note

  • Oracle Portal lets you customize the page style independently of the style applied to a folder. For more information, see Creating a page style.
