Accessing the Navigator

The Navigator provides access to all your Oracle Portal objects, including pages, content areas, applications, and database objects.

How you access the Navigator depends on where you are within the product. Use the following table to find out how to get to the Navigator.

If you are:

Do this:

On the Oracle Portal home page (or any other page where the Navigator icon is displayed in the shortcut bar)

In the shortcut bar at the top of the page, click .

On a page where only the Home icon is displayed in the shortcut bar

  1. In the shortcut bar at the top of the page, click .

  2. In the shortcut bar at the top of the Oracle Portal home page, click .

In a content area

  1. Make sure you are logged on to the content area.

  2. In the navigation bar, click .

  3. In the Content Area Managers section, click Navigate Content Area.
