Deleting a folder

You must be logged on as the content area administrator or higher or folder owner to delete a folder.

Make sure when deleting a folder since all sub-folders and content items in these folders are also deleted from the content area and database. You cannot undo this action.

To delete a folder:

Note: If you are already in the content area containing the folder you want to work with, switch to Edit mode and click next to the folder. For more information, see Editing a folder.

  1. In the Navigator, click the Content Areas tab.

  2. Navigate to Path: Content Areas > Name of Content Area > Folders.

  1. In the Actions column, click Delete next to the folder you want to delete.

Note: If you do not see the folder that you want to work with, this means that you have not been granted the appropriate folder access privileges. See your content area administrator to request folder access.

A confirmation message displays asking if you want to proceed. Click Yes.

Note

  • The content area can contain any number of folder levels which you can locate by moving down the hierarchical structure in the Navigator. However, its best to keep the number of levels to a minimum for easier access.
