Folder caching speeds up the rendering of a folder and its contents since previously rendered pages are stored by Oracle Portal and re-displayed when next requested. Thus, instead of rendering a page each time it is requested, Oracle Portal serves up the cached version of the page, which loads the page much faster. Folder caching must be enabled at the content area level before it is enabled at the folder level. The content area administrator does this from the Content Area Administration page. |
