Changing a folder's image

A folder image can display in the navigation bar that is applied to the folder or display on the folder's banner.

You must be logged on as a folder owner or an authorized user with the appropriate folder privileges.

To change the folder image displayed in the navigation bar:

Note: If you are already in the Folder Manager that you want to work with, skip to step 4.

  1. In the Navigator, click the Content Areas tab.

  2. Navigate to Path: Content Areas > Name of Content Area > Folders.

  1. In the Actions column, click Edit next to the folder you want to work with to display the Folder Manager.

Note: If you do not see the folder that you want to work with, this means that you have not been granted the appropriate folder access privileges. See your content area administrator to request folder access.

  1. Click the tabuser.gif Image tab.

  2. In the Image Name field, below Image On Navigation Bar, enter the path and file name of an image for the folder image. Or, click Browse to locate the image if you are not sure of its path or file name.

  3. If you want a rollover image to appear with the folder image, enter the path and file name of an image for the folder image in the Rollover Image Name field. Or, click Browse to locate the image if you are not sure of its path or file name.

  4. Click OK.

To choose a banner image to display in the folder banner:

  1. Follow steps 1-4 above.

  2. In the Image Name field, below Banner Image, enter the fully-qualified directory path and name of the graphical image or click Browse to locate the image if you are not sure of its path or file name.

Notes

  • The image file must be of type JPEG, GIF, or PNG.

  • To delete an image, click . This icon is displayed only when an image exists.

  1. Click OK.

Notes

  • You may need to click your browser's Reload button to refresh your page and display your changes.

  • If you display an image in the navigation bar, be sure that the navigation bar is wide enough to accommodate the width of the image. See Changing the navigation bar width.
