Choosing item attributes to display in a folder region

You can choose which item attributes display for each item assigned to a given region. Attributes store information about items and folders. Some examples of the item attributes provided with Oracle Portal include, Create Date, Expire Date, Author, Application Type, Associated Functions, Description, Document Size, Keywords, New Item Indicator , <Blank Line>, <Space>, <Carriage Return>, Property Sheet, and so on.

You can create your own attributes to extend the functionality of the item types and folder types that you create. For example, in a health and fitness content area, you might have an item type for product reviews for which you could create a Rating attribute to store the product rating.

You must be logged on as the style administrator or creator of the style to perform this task.

Be careful when changing the style applied to the folder since any changes affect the appearance of all other folders and navigation bars using that style.
