Adding a folder to a page

With Oracle Portal, you can display a folder from a content area on a page. Every time the folder is updated, the page is updated accordingly. You can display the entire folder on a page, or choose just a few regions from the folder to display.

If you are creating a folder that you later plan to add to a page, be sure to select the Publish As Portlet check box on the Required tab in the Folder Manager. Then you can add your folder to a page directly by completing the steps below. (If you have the proper privileges, you may want to edit the folder and make sure this check box is selected.) The steps to add a folder to a page vary slightly depending on whether you want the folder to be visible to all users of the page, or just yourself.

If a folder has not been published as a portlet, or if you're not sure, you can still add it to your page by adding the generic Folder portlet to the page, then selecting the appropriate folder. The steps to add the generic Folder portlet to a page vary slightly depending on whether you want the folder to be visible to all users of the page, or just yourself.

If you want to add multiple folders to a region, repeat this procedure for each folder. Selecting multiple folders is not supported.
