Adding a page to another page

With Oracle Portal, you can use include an entire page within a region on another page.

If you are creating a page that you later plan to add to another page, be sure to select the Publish As Portlet check box on the final step of the wizard. (If you have the proper privileges, you may want to edit the page and make sure this check box is selected on the Access tab.)

The steps to add a page to another page vary depending on whether you want the changes to be visible to all users of the page, or just yourself.

Note

When you add a portlet that is itself a page to a page, significant table nesting occurs in the underlying HTML. If you are using a Netscape browser, serious performance problems can occur when the page is rendered. It is not advisable to nest pages within pages in a Netscape environment.

If you add a page that contains several portlets, performance for the page will most likely be degraded no matter which browser is used.
