Ordering items in a content area

You can edit the folder layout style to influence the order in which items are to be displayed in the content area. You can choose to group items by category (the default), author, date, item type, or provider name. If you choose to group items by category, you can modify the display order of the categories in your content area. If you choose to group items by item type, you can modify the display order of the item types in your content area.

You must be a content area, style, or Oracle Portal administrator to modify a style or to change the display order of objects.

To edit the folder layout style:

  1. In the Navigator, click the Content Areas tab, to access the Content Area Navigator.

Note: You can also get to the Content Area Navigator from the content area Administration page.

  2. Click Contents next to the name of the content area that contains the folder layout style that you want to modify. If the list of content areas is very long, use Find to go directly to the desired content area.

  4. Click Edit next to the style.
