Creating a content area page

You can create a new content area page for a content area.

You must be the content area administrator, the portal administrator, or have Manage privileges on All Content Areas to create a content area page.

To create a content area page:

  1. In the Navigator, click the Content Areas tab.

  2. Navigate to the root path.

  3. In the row for your content area, click Edit.

  4. Click Page.

  5. In the Name field, enter a name for the content area page. The name is used internally only.

Note: The name must be unique, is limited to 60 characters, and can contain only alphanumeric characters (A-Z, a-z, 0-9) and the underscore character (_); no spaces or special characters.

  6. In the Display Name field, enter a descriptive name for the content area page.

Note: The display name can contain any character, including spaces.

  7. Click Create to create the page and select it as the content area page.

Note: The page is created with a folder portlet and a navigation bar portlet. If you want to add any other portlets, you must edit the page.

  8. Click OK.
