Deleting an interMedia Text index

To create an interMedia Text index, for example to incorporate new items in the index, or to replace a corrupted index, you first need to delete any existing index.
	interMedia Text functionality is available only if you install and configure the interMedia Text component according to the instructions in the Oracle WebDB Installation Guide. You must be the portal administrator to delete an interMedia index.

To delete an interMedia index:

In the Services portlet, click Search Settings. By default, the Services portlet is located on the Oracle Portal home page's Administer tab. Click Drop Index. Click OK.

Note

If an interMedia index does not already exist, there is a Create Index button instead of a Drop Index button.
