Changing a folder's perspectives

In addition to assigning a perspective to an item, you can assign a perspective to a folder.

You must be logged on as a folder owner or an authorized user with the appropriate folder privileges.

To change a folder's perspective(s):

Note: If you are already in the Folder Manager that you want to work with, skip to step 4.

  1. In the Navigator, click the Content Areas tab.

  2. Navigate to Path: Content Areas > Name of Content Area > Folders.

  1. In the Actions column, click Edit next to the folder you want to work with to display the Folder Manager.

Note: If you do not see the folder that you want to work with, this means that you have not been granted the appropriate folder access privileges. See your content area administrator to request folder access.

  1. Click the Optional tab.

  2. In the Sub-folders And Perspectives section, assign a perspective to the folder by selecting the perspective in the Available Perspectives list and clicking to move it to the Displayed Perspectives list. To assign the folder to all perspectives, click . To remove a perspective from the folder, select the perspective in the Displayed Perspectives list and click to move it to the Available Perspectives list. To remove all perspectives from the folder, click .

  3. Click OK.

  • Unlike categories, you can choose more than one perspective for a folder.

  • Use to determine the order in which the perspectives are to be displayed.
