Choosing a page style for a page

You can change the color and fonts in which a page appears by changing the style that is applied to the page.

Note

You must be the page creator, portal administrator, or have the Edit Portlets or Manage Style privileges for the page to change the page's style. Users/groups with the Edit Contents privilege for all pages can also change any page's style.

To choose a style for a page:

  1. If you are in the Create Page Wizard, make sure you are at the Select Layout Template And Style step (step 2 of 4).

If you are already on the page, at the top of the page click Edit Page, then click the Style tab.

Otherwise, access the Navigator, navigate to the page you want to work on, click Edit, then click the Style tab.

  2. In the Style or Available Styles list, choose the style you want to apply to this page. A page style determines the font size, style, and overall color scheme for the page. A preview of the page style appears in the box below to show you the colors and fonts associated with it.

  3. Click OK or Finish, if you're done, or click Next if you're in the process of creating a page.

Note

  • If you choose <Use User's Default Style>, the page is rendered according to the style each user has selected as his or her default. In this way, many people can look at the same page in unique combinations of fonts and colors. To change the settings in your default style, access the Navigator, click Page Styles, and use the Edit action for the style.
