Renaming applications

You can change the display name or internal name of an application.

To rename an application, you must have:

EDIT application-level access privileges, or

EDIT ALL APPLICATIONS global privileges.

To rename an application:

In the Oracle Portal Navigator, navigate to the list of applications.

In the Name column, scroll to the application you want to rename.

Click Edit in the Actions column next to the application.

In Application Name, enter an internal name that identifies the application to Oracle Portal and the Application Navigator.

In Application Display Name, enter an external name that identifies the application to other Portal users.

Click OK. The new Application Display Name now displays in the Oracle Portal Navigator.
