A content contributor is a user who can add items
to a content area folder. A contributor is assigned by the folder
owner. Folder owners automatically have full contributor privileges
on any folders that they own.
There are two levels of contributor:

Manage Items |
Contributors with these privileges can add new items to the folder,
and edit and delete any item in the folder. |

Create With Approval |
Contributors with these privileges can add items to the folder, and
edit and delete those items until they are approved.
Items added by contributors with these privileges are not visible to
other users until the folder owner has approved them. This enables
the folder owner to distribute content production while still
retaining control over what is displayed in the folder. |
If you have the privileges required to add items to a folder, you
will see Edit
Folder in the folder's main banner. Click this link to access
the tools required to add items to the folder. If you do not see this
button, you can only view the folder and its contents. |
