Changing your personal information and preferences

You can enter various pieces of personal information about yourself, for example your name and contact information. You can also set up preferences, such as whether you want to be included in the portal directory, and which page to use as your home page.

All fields for personal details are optional. However, the more information you provide, the more useful your directory listing will be to other users.

To change your personal information and preferences:

  1. In the top right corner of your home page, click Account Info.

  2. In the First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name fields, enter your full name.

  3. In the E-mail Address field, enter the e-mail address to which to send your Workflow notifications. This e-mail address is also included in your listing in the portal directory.

  4. In the Image File field, enter the path and file name of an image to associate with yourself, for example:

    c:\healthyliving\webart\photos\scott.jpg

    Click Browse to locate the image if you are not sure of its path or file name.

  5. Click Preferences.

  6. In the Known As field, enter any other name by which the you are known, for example, a nickname.

  7. In the Maiden Name field, enter your last name if it was different prior to marriage.

  8. In the Date Of Birth field, enter your date of birth in the format specified to the right of the field.

  9. Select Display Personal Information In Directory to include your personal details in the portal directory.

    Note: You have no control over whether you are included in the portal directory; that is decided by the portal administrator. However, use the Display Personal Information In Directory check box to control whether your personal details are included in your listing.

  10. In the Default Group field, enter the name of the group to use to determine preferences such as your default home page. Or click and select from the list provided.

    Notes:

    • You must be a member of the group you specify.

    • Your personal preferences override the default group preferences.

  11. Click next to the Default Home Page field, and click Set as Default next to the page you want to display when you click .

    Note: If you select a default home page here, it overrides the default home page of your default group.

  12. Click Contact Info.

  13. Enter your contact information, including your telephone numbers and your addresses at home and at work.

  14. Click OK.
